2."Play – Learn – Create"

“Play – Learn – Create" is a programme for children of 4 to 11 years of age and it is held at the Museum on weekends. The children are divided into groups according to their age, and the programme is designed in cycles of 12 meetings:

Cycle 1: September – December

Cycle 2: January – May

All of the meetings last two yours and take place on Friday 17:00 – 19:00, on Saturday and on Sunday 11:30-13:30.

During the meeting, children, under the guidance of the responsible museum educator, join a program which combines visits to the exhibits, the visual, musical and theatrical performances and other activities in the art lab.

The main objective is the entertainment of children through their interaction with the exhibits and the museum, exercising their creative abilities, gaining confidence and socializing both individually and collectively.

The museum does not seek to become a hotbed of artists. The MMCA puts as a priority the pursuit of children’s critical thinking in the art, the creativity of contemporary art and the role of the museum as an institution acquiring cultural competencies in today's society.

The art workshops are prepared and conducted by the MMCA’s team of experts, which includes museologists, museum educators, art historians, educators and graduates of Fine Arts schools.

For subscriptions contact the Department of Educational Programs of the Macedonian Museum of Contemporary Art.
